THE AWARENESS CHORUS
The Awareness Chorus was established for constituting social network of the project “The Importance of Early Diagnosis in Breast Cancer” entitled by Pınar Ayhan in 2008.The Chorus has trained by Cihan Can, director of chorus of Sevda Cenap And Music Foundation, since it was established. The goal of Awareness Chorus which is set up with women treated for breast cancer is to raise awareness about ““The Importance of Early Diagnosis in Breast Cancer” and emphasize the importance of clinging to life. Additionally, Prof.Dr.Deniz Yamaç and Prof.Dr.Suhan Ayhan who have a part in our chorus from the beginning support the Awareness Chorus with both their doctor identities and beautiful voices.
The Awareness Chorus which performs first concerts in 22 February 2009 after a few months from establishing gives concerts in target audience-oriented programs in national television channels such as TRT, Show TV, Kanal D, Habertürk, Başkent TV, Kanal B. They joined all activities occurring throughout Turkey for raising consciousness in breast cancer. In this context, it gave concert in Ankara, Mersin, İstanbul, Eskişehir, Çanakkale and in April 2013, because of the Cancer Week , in Ankara with NİLÜFER.
Since its establishment, The Awareness Chorus won gold medal for joining fifth times in “Choruses Festival of Turkey” organized by Polyphonic Choruses Association of Turkey every year. Furthermore, they joined International Istanbul Chorus Days in 2011 and 2012, Nevit Kodallı Polyphonic Choruses Festival organized by Polyphonic Choruses Association of Mersin in 2012 and 2013,Choruses Festival of Çanakkale,”Globathone” march executed by Cancer Department of the Ministry of Health in 2013,Avon Pink Festival Hadise Concert,35.National Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Assembly, Kadıköy City Hall Kozyatağı Culture Center Event,5.Medical Oncology Convention, The Ministry of Health Cancer Week Event of Arcadium and Antares Mall, concerts of “Culture: The Principle of Republic” organized by TOBAV, Breast Improvement Awareness Day of Turkish Plastic, Reconstructive Assembly, ”Guest Songs with Pınar Ayhan” live web concert in 2013 and celebrations of Republic Day in Karum Mall in 29 October 2014.
The Chorus, for showing its development in the musical sense, purposes joining these kinds of organizations in future.
